Подпись: Andrey, Oleg, Marina and Dima have decided to be baptized in church. Andrey and Marina received Christ one and a half years ago. Oleg was brought up by his Christian mother and as a child attended a Sunday school. Yet only this fall he dedicated his life to God. Concerning Andrey and Oleg (they are my disciples), I wrote in the last letter. Now I want to write about more about Dima and Marina. I’ve heard that when you plant certain types of bamboo and water them for several years they do not grow. Then comes a moment when bamboo begins to grow very quickly, sometimes one meter in one night, reaching the height of more than 10 m. Dima received Christ two years ago, but for one and a half years we didn’t see much growth and even wondered whether he really was a Christian. Yet this fall and especially during this winter we saw great changes in his life. God has blessed him with an unprecedented humbleness and openness for a guy. I think that God is blessing him because of his faith, compassion toward others and a hardworking spirit. This February, several dozens of guys prayed to receive Christ when he shared the Gospel with them, and now Dima leads two small groups for new Christians. He is a true leader in our ministry. He loves God and His Word a lot, he is sincere and great to be with, and also he studies very well at the university. Marina is very committed to God. She is compassionate, her desire is to see many people saved, and she prays for a revival in her hometown Boguslav. (I am from Boguslav too.:) She is able to talk about Christ with bums and poppers. It seems that there are no people from Boguslav in Kiev whom Marina doesn’t know and has not invited already to church or to our student meetings.
